Earlier Twitter offered a feature called Dim this is a blue/grey theme that is triggered automatically depending on the sunset. The latest “Lights Out” Dark Mode is pure black which makes the app background pitch dark.
The Lights Out version was already available on iOS and Twitter web as it was rolled out earlier this year. With the introduction of Dark Theme, most of the app developers caught up with the trend and started offering Dark Theme-based apps.
The dark mode is widely being used on devices such as smartphones and tablets with AMOLED screens. Today Twitter rolls out the Dark Mode Light Out for Android users.
Earlier the Dim mode was the Twitter default mode, now it defaults to Lights Out when you activate the Dark Mode. If you are in love with the Dim Mode, you can head over to Settings and change the ‘Dark mode appearance’.
