How to Export passwords from LastPass?

You will be required to export a CSV file from LastPass to the other password manager of your choice. The process can be complex depending on the alternate password manager you choose. This is how you can export your passwords from LastPass.

  • Log in to your LastPass account on your desktop here.
  • After you login click on the Advance option on the left of the page.
  • Click the Export option. Enter your username and master password if prompted.
  • Copy & Paste the available LastPass data to Notepad file (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac OS).
  • Save the file.
  • Change the file extension to CSV and you are good to go.

Once you create the CSV file things get easy, simply import the CSV file to the password manager of your choice. This way you can retrieve all passwords without manually inputting the passwords. The entire password listed can also be manually transferred if you want.
