Facebook Update brings a new feature called Secret Crush that will allow people to tell who they are into. If others wish to say the same about you they will be a match and both people will be notified.
As a part of Facebook Dating which was introduced last year, which allowed people to find potential matches within the Facebook communities, same groups, attending the same events, or are friends with your friends.
This feature was made available in countries like Colombia, Thailand, Canada, Argentina, and Mexico. This will not be rolled out to 14 more countries along with the Secret Crush feature. The countries included in the current list are the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Guyana, and Suriname.
According to Facebook, it is a feature that will allow users to match up with their friends. Facebook added – “People have told us that they believe there is an opportunity to explore potential romantic relationships within their own extended circle of friends.”
The latest Secret Crush feature will allow you to select up to nine of your Facebook friends you want to express interest in.
The people you added if they have opted into the Facebook Dating feature they will get a notification that says someone has a crush on them.
If that person adds you to the list of secret crushes there will be a match. This will allow both of you to speak with each other about that crush.
For the feature to work you need to opt-in to use Facebook Dating and create a Secret Crush list, without the secret crush feature won’t work, and never tell your secret crushes that you have entered your friend into it.
