How to delete your Spotify account
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Earlier Spotify got itself in turmoil after the platform decided to pull rock icon Neil Young’s music after he called out podcast host Joe Rogan for spreading misinformation related to COVID-19.

Joe Rogan said, “I want you to let Spotify know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform.”

Young responded to this by saying, “They can have (Joe) Rogan or Young. Not both.”

This led to a war of sorts on Twitter against the music streamer, with the hashtag #SpotifyDeleted trending on Twitter.

According to The Verge, even Apple with its Apple Music platform placed Neil’s playlist at the front of its “browse” section under the heading “We Love Neil.”

Many Spotify users have started to feel it was time to bid the service farewell.  If you are one of those who want to permanently close your Spotify account follow the guide below.
