New WhatsApp feature offers better privacy control, it allows you to hide your last seen profile picture and the about section from some contacts.

According to WABetainfo, the latest ‘My Contacts Except’ feature is rolling out for beta testers. It will be available on WhatsApp beta for Android and will take some time before it arrives for the general public. So it might take some time before it rolls out for everyone.

New WhatsApp Feature Offers Better Privacy Controls

The latest My Contacts Except feature will offer more control over who sees your last seen, profile picture, and about on WhatsApp. Thus enabling you to keep your information protected from some contacts without the need to block them.

To enable this you will have to be using WhatsApp beta and go to Settings > Account > Privacy > Last Seen and see if it shows the “My Contacts Except for…” option.

WhatsApp has been regularly updating the platform with new features. Earlier offered multi-device support that enables you to use WhatsApp on your laptop or other devices without keeping your phone connected.

WhatsApp is constantly working on bringing new features and soon we may see a few more like voice message transcript and pause a voice message while recording

With the latest features, combined with privacy control, WhatsApp certainly is convincing users to adopt it for messaging, content creation, and consumption.
