Opera introduces the iOS version of their Crypto browser for iPhones and iPads. It is designed to access web3, with a non-custodial crypto wallet built in.

A similar feature was offered by Opera earlier on Windows, Mac, and Android devices. According to Opera, the latest introduction is for users familiar with cryptocurrencies as well as newcomers.

The latest Crypto browser for iOS devices has an inbuilt crypto wallet that supports Ethereum, Polygon, and Celo blockchain technology. In the future Opera will integrate more ecosystems. The browser will enable users to purchase crypto using fiat currency and exchange, send and receive supported tokens. Additionally, users can also integrate existing crypto wallets, as long as they are compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine, within the browser’s built-in wallet.

The Crypto Corner feature present in the Crypto Browser app will round up news and information about crypto, along with events, airdrops, and podcasts, to help users tune up on the technology.

The latest Opera Crypto browser will make navigating Web3 as easy as Web2. It will enable users to access Web3 NFTs and decentralized apps, including 7,000 Polygon-supported services.

Jorgen Arnesen, Executive Vice President of Mobile at Opera, said in a statement, “The interest in Web3 is continuing to grow. The Opera Crypto Browser Project was built to simplify the Web3 user experience that has often been bewildering for mainstream users. Opera believes Web3 has to be easy to use in order to reach its full potential and mass adoption.”

Additionally, the browser has many security features like an ad, tracker, pop-up blocker, and cookie dialogue blocking. Users will get cryptocurrency mining protection that will block crypto jacking scripts.

Opera, addressing the environmental concerns, said it is working on integrating Ethereum Layer 2 solutions. Opera is optimistic it will reduce the environmental impact of the technology.
