In today’s world, we have tons of photos on our smartphones, and it’s not easy to manage them. There are a few apps around but this one grabbed our attention. Photo Culling is an iOS app available on App Store. It uses artificial intelligence to evaluate your photo collection.
It helps in determining the quality of the photos as well as if there are duplicates of the same. This makes it easy for you to decide which ones to keep and which ones to delete from your phone.
The app is developed by Canon, uses a computer-vision artificial intelligence engine known as PHIL. Photography Intelligence Learning(PHIL) picks images on the basis of sharpness, noise, emotions, and closed eyes. This enables you to keep the best-picked images on your phone.
Photo Cutting app offers two options, the first one allows users to set a score threshold based on scores against four models for sharpness, noise, emotions, and closed eyes. The other option is based on similar culling which means it organizes photos into groups and identifies the group’s first and second-best images, while the rest of the photos are marked for culling.
For example, if a user selects 20 images containing 10 photos of a dog and 10 sunset photos. The app will sort the images into two groups and identify the best dog photo and the best sunset photo from the photo collection. The iOS app only supports. JPG files and images captured with your smartphone’s camera.
Photo Culling app offers a unique score if you choose to evaluate your images. All you need to do is adjust the individual score parameters which will determine the final score generated. The app also helps you find images captured on specific dates quickly.
Photo Culling is available for a free three-day trial, later you can choose to subscribe to the paid edition which will cost you $2.99 per month, while an annual subscription costs $14.99.
