WhatsApp May Allow You to Edit Your Sent Messages

WhatsApp may soon allow you to edit your send messages, according to WABetaInfo who says the social media app has not quit the project

You may be typing a lot on your phone and mistakes are bound to happen like misspelled words, typing a wrong key or even at times the autocorrect feature might replace some of your words without you even noticing. This is where the latest feature comes to save us as we can edit WhatsApp messages in the future. WhatsApp May Allow You to Edit Your Sent Messages_1The latest iOS 16 Apple update introduced a similar feature for its iMessage users. This feature allows iPhone users to edit sent messages and soon this similar feature will make its way to WhatsApp.

WhatsApp has released version 2.22.20.12 of the WhatsApp beta for Android. According to WABetaInfo WhatsApp is currently working on a way to let the app replace your sent messages with their edited counterparts. Additionally WhatsApp will also prompt users to install the latest version of the app in order to read a received edited message. Once it’s tested in the beta mode it will make its way for the public. 

Being a beta edition it’s still a work in progress, we don’t know how soon WhatsApp will introduce this feature for public use. However it is certain this feature will go live for sure.
