WhatsApp will add best quality settings for sending photos and videos. The latest setting will allow users to easily bypass the apps unsure image compression and send photos and videos in the highest quality available.
Users will now also get the ‘best quality’ option along with ‘auto’ and ‘data saver’ in the upcoming versions of Whatsapp.
The upcoming feature will allow users to choose either compressed photos and videos. This will enable the users to save consumption of data as they will be in charge of managing the quality they wish to send by selecting the optimal level of compression for files.
According to WABetaInfo, the settings will be preset in the upcoming WhatsApp update. These options are currently under development and will be available via the public Android build of the app. With WhatsApp maintaining uniformity in terms of features on both platforms, we can expect it will be available for iOS users too.
The upcoming feature is welcome news for users who don’t use stock messaging apps on iOS and Android and often share photos and videos of their loved ones. WhatsApp will soon make multi-device support available for its users.
