Realme has been gearing up for the launch of its TV stick, today we bring you specs for Realme 4K Google TV stick ahead of its launch. A teaser released during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale suggests the upcoming stick will feature 4K streaming support and run Google TV instead of Android TV.

The company has revealed more details about Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick ahead of its launch on October 13.

A specially dedicated microsite has been set up by the company for its Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick ahead of the launch. It provides information about the streaming device and gives us a good look at its design.

According to the microsite, Realme’s TV stick will run Google TV out of the box, this makes it the first real alternative to Google’s Chromecast with Google TV.

Google TV is Google’s latest version of Android TV with a new content-focused UI. Google TV features a couple of different tabs like For You, Live, Movies, Shows, Apps, and Library. These give users quick access to all their favorite content in one place. Android TV user experience greatly improves as it consolidates content from various platforms onto one screen. This feature is right now only available on Chromecast with Google TV and a handful of TVs from Sony and TCL.

The microsite further reveals that the Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick will offer Google Assistant support, 4K 60fps streaming capabilities, HDR10+ support, and HDMI 2.1 support. The 4K stick will also feature a minimal design with an HDMI port, a USB Type-C port, and a white LED. It is not clear if Realme will provide a bundled remote as no information is mentioned on the site. By the line the launch date nears, we expect to get more information about it all, stay tuned to get the latest updates.
