Most of us tend to forget that Apex Legends is a spinoff game from Respawn’s Titanfall series. The game has now over the years got its own unique identity though. Apex Legends Season 9 will certainly make Titanfall fans happy as it will get an added dose of Titanfall elements in the battle royale shooter.
It is too early to get our hands on the exact specifications but the game’s director has confirmed this.
According to Dexerto, Apex Legends game director Chad Grenier, hyped about the Titanfall content to appear in the game for Season 9, while speaking on a panel by BrownGirlGamerCode.
Chad Grenier said – “I’ve told some people before, if you’re a Titanfall fan, hang on for Season 9 because there’s gonna be some really cool stuff there.”
It is too early to say we will actually get to see the Titans in the game, as it would go against Respawn entertainment’s earlier strategies. Also, it would not make sense to have the mighty robots, the design, and movement of the Apex legend heroes in mind, and the matches balanced for their duration.
You might like the titular walking tanks, but don’t think they are indestructible. Clever ambushing in combination with anti titan weapons and good teamwork can bring them down. Though the odds would always be in the Titan user’s favor especially when few. You may also like the deadly long-range weapons which make their inclusion in big open maps a bit confusing.
Titanfall 2 did not manage to roll the cash registers as expected but nonetheless was critically acclaimed. Though the drop in sales might be a result of it being launched in between the two-game launches ie. a week after the launch of EA’s own Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
