Epic Games and DC Comics possibly teasing Fortnite Samus Skin with the addition of Metroid’s Samus Aran reference in the new Fortnite comic issue.
The latest issue of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point comic shows Samus Aran from Metroid. Rumors have been making rounds after documents were exposed by the ongoing Epic vs Apple court case. The documents revealed a lot of information including content planned for the popular battle royale game. It contained gameplay modes, events, and character skins such as Naruto, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Metroid’s Samus Aran.
It is most likely Samus skin must have been dropped as it was mentioned alongside already-featured bounty hunter skins from Chapter 2, Season 5. Though recent developments suggest something different. The character’s distinct silhouette can be spotted next to a couple of characters in the background of one panel.
Samus is the best-known pop culture icon, sports large spherical shoulder pauldrons on her otherwise slender armor. It is noteworthy to mention the silhouette is positioned in such a way that it’s not easy to spot the other characters, especially the ones slightly below. This gives us every reason to speculate about her arrival to Fortnite.
Recently we are experiencing a number of original and licensed character skins making appearances on Fortnite regularly. Though the community has always been creative when it comes to designing their own cosmetics.
The cheerful Monki skin is so popular it stands a chance to land up in Fortnite as an official skin. The face of the ape is based on the popular monkey emoji and inspired by the existing Peely character; the bright yellow banana adds up as the game’s mascot.
With the Samus Aran original, protruding armor design might be a bit bulky to fit in the game. It is possible she gets a slimmer-looking gear to match with the game environment. Though there is a lot of information that suggests Samus Arun skin showing up on Fortnite, the reference in the official comic might just be a fun reference for in-the-know-fans.
