All new locations for Fortnite Season 6 map
The Spire is a huge focal point similar to the Zero Point or Agency before it. Season 6 kickoff its single-player mission at this location. The same place where the Foundation character, the mean-looking helmet guy covering himself in tiney-wimey magic and vows to finish his deal with Jonesy.
The Spire is a massive tower with a modest loot chest and a zipline for quick getaways. The town below which is an old west yet alien-looking is literally littered with ziplines. This goes to show that Epic wants players to make a quick entry and exit, which might make this a popular location to drop.
Boney Burbs is located very close to the Spire, it is basically a replacement for Tilted Towers which was in its place earlier season. The structure is held by dino bones, perhaps that gives it its name while some of the roofs sport the triceratops skulls. The building is spacious enough to keep players from getting overcrowded after the initial drop. A gas station at the edge of the town will provide a quick retreat for players.
Colossal crops is a good hiding place when outgunned, it is a big old farm. The large size of the farmhouse and the southern gate make them an ideal target to hit. Don’t forget to check out the Tri-Caesar-tops statue outside the farmhouse.
Guardian towers are like miniature versions of the Spire. There are six in all and dubbed as “The Guardian of the Sea/Land”. You will generally find a few houses nearby with Primal loot. The best part of the Guardian towers is they are launched at the top and let you pull out your glider again.
The Guardian Towers can be located at Lazy Lake, Weeping Woods, north of Retail Row, northeast of Colossal Crops, east of Stealthy Stronghold, and east of Sweaty Sands. Source: Epic Game
Season 6 also has a few returning locations such as the Stealthy Stronghold, Sweaty Sands, Slurpy Swamp, Lazy Lake, Retail Row, Steamy Stacks, Coral Castle, Craggy Cliffs, Misty Meadows, Dirty Docks, Catty Corner, and more are all back as you recognize them.
BEST DROP SPOTS
From the option available it seems pretty likely you will make the Spire your obvious choice. It is the best place to drop given the fact that it offers a fair number of loot chests and tons of ziplines. This means a few mishaps during the initial minutes of combat you can fight your way back in style.
The other likely location seems to be Boney Burbs as it also offers sizable loots and a multitude of chests. Also being close to the Spire makes it very much possible to retreat
The Guardian Towers are small and may not manage to gain the attention of players right out of the gate. But they are a strong choice for mid-game play and also have players interested as the launch pads at the top that will allow you to retreat by glider.
