LockBit 2.0 Ransomware strikes Israeli defense firm E.M.I.T. Aviation Consulting Ltd. The bad actors claim to have stolen the company data and threaten to leak them on the dark website of the group if the company failed to pay up the ransom.

E.M.I.T Aviation Consulting Ltd is an Israeli company founded in 1986. It deals in designing and assembling complete aircraft, tactical and sub tactical UAV systems, and mobile integrated reconnaissance systems.

The ransomware gang has not yet shared the files as proof of the attack, while the countdown ends on 07 October 2021. It is still not clear how the bad actors manage to breach the systems and when the breach took place.

LockBit 2.0 is used by bad actors to launch ransomware as a service model and maintain a network of affiliates.

Earlier in Sept 2021, the Lock bit ransomware gang managed to hack Bangkok Airway. They managed to compromise information which included full names, nationality, gender, phone numbers, email, and physical addresses, passport info, historical travel data, partial credit card info, and special meal details.

Ever since ransomware ads have been banned on hacking forums, ransomware gangs like the LockBit operators have moved their attention to setting up their own leak site to promote their latest variant and advertising the LockBit 2.0 affiliate program.

The group has been highly active during this period and includes comes worldwide on its victims list such as Riviana, Wormington & Bollinger, Anastasia Group, Vlastuin Group, SCIS Air Security, Peabody Properties, DATA SPEED SRL, Island independent buying group, Day-Lewis, Buffington Law Firm and many more.
