There are some crazy things going on with esports this year, now FaZe Clan just signed up Snoop Dogg. The esports organization has confirmed about the same in a tweet

Snoop Dogg joins the organization as a content creator and will be known as Faze Snoop. This is something for him, though he has previously worked on a few gameplay streams on Twitch

Snoop Dogg will be involved in content creation and merchandise and looks likely he will have a say in key business initiatives of the organization.

According to Kai Henry, FaZe Clan chief strategy officer Kai Henry, “As the original internet kid and first-generation gamer, Snoop has always understood the cultural connection between music, lifestyle, and gaming. Today, Snoop is a prominent voice in the emerging Web3 community and we have exciting plans to create together in the metaverse, driving new engagement opportunities for both of our fanbases.”

Founded in May 2010, FaZe Clan has teams across multiple games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, FIFA, and VALORANT. They have had their share of controversies with the member of their organization banned permanently from Fortnite for using an aimbot. Earlier the organization was also sued for “predatory” contract terms.
