LLOYDS and Halifax banking app back online after a glitch left users with no funds error. It has been a rogue morning for some Halifax and Lloyds users as many were left without access to their funds due to the glitch.
Thousands of Halifax and Lloyds customers were not able to access their accounts online as the banking app went down and was not working. The trouble started around 6:30 am with customers of these popular banks seeing a message which said there’s no access to funds. Customers of the bank were not able to check balances or make payments to people.
According to the Down Detector which tracks outages and issues related to online services, there was a huge surge in complaints this morning about Lloyds and Halifax. Nearly 2000 customers from Lloyds alone have voiced concerns about the mobile banking portals when the problems were at their peak.
The issues have been resolved as of now, though we don’t know the exact reason behind the outage, it appears to be widespread across the UK.One of the bank’s customers named Paul, in a comment on the Down Detectors forum page said, “I can log on but it’s red say n/a when I try and transfer says my account is restricted. A bloody nightmare seems to be happening to a lot of people. Can’t do anything.”
