Fans of Matrix 4 get a chance to have a first look at the Matrix Resurrections movie coming to theatres this December. Whatisthematrix.com is the teaser website that is offering fans the chance to pick a red pill or a blue pill for a first look at the movie.
If the fan takes the red pill they get a short narration from Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. He takes on a Morpheus-like role of explaining that the world you know is not what it seems. You will also be able to see the Matrix signature green scrolling code along with the explanation with a few brief scenes from the upcoming film. This is accompanied by Abdul-Mateen II battling Keanu Reeves’ Neo in a dojo reminiscent of the original Matrix film.
While the blue pill offers narration from Neil Patrick Harris, who explains that the reason you’re here is that you’re having trouble distinguishing reality from fiction. The teaser relays a few more scenes from the movie, specifically scenes of Neo struggling with the Matrix and trying to determine if it’s real or not.
The site offers viewers different clips every time the fans select either of the two options, they are likely to be part of the trailer Warner Bros. debuted at CinemaCon last month. The clips offered are very brief and look like there are limited options for the site to show you. Overall it offers a nice first look into the most anticipated sequel.
The Matrix Resurrections full trailer will make its debut Thursday, Sept. 9.
