NFL - Virtual NFT tickets at Super Bowl in Los Angeles

NFL ahead of the Super Bowl in Los Angeles on Feb 13, NFL announced on Wednesday, each fan who attends Super Bowl LVI will receive a unique customized nonfungible token (NFT).

With the Super Bowl returning back to Los Angeles for the first time in almost 30 years, NFL will feature its unique section, row, and seat to commemorate the game day.

NFL will offer NFTS as a special opportunity to engage and celebrate with its fans at the Super Bowl LVI 

According to Robert Gallo, senior vice president at the NFL’s club business development, the club started offering virtual commemorative ticket NFTs to fans during the regular season.

He said, “We witnessed great success with this one-of-a-kind fan experience, which provided the momentum to continue this program throughout the postseason and ultimately at Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles.”

Fans have been eagerly waiting to collect NFTs, especially the season’s biggest game. NFL will offer customized Super Bowl NFTs to enhance the gameday experience. Gallo said it will also enable the club to “evaluate the NFT space for future ticketing and event engagement opportunities.”

The NFT virtual tickets are minted on Polygon blockchain and can be viewed on the NFL’s official NFT website. It includes club-specific NFTs for the Super Bowl LVI participating teams, the Los Angeles Rams, and the Cincinnati Bengals. 

The NFL will also be preparing for another collection of limited edition NFTs to commemorate Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles.

Gallo in a statement earlier in January said they began releasing virtual commemorative tickets in the form of NFTs at no cost to fans in November 2021. The club by mid-January distributed over 250,000 free NFTs.
