The latest Peugeot E-Streetzone electric scooter is best for city streets. The latest offering is an electrified version of its tried and tested 50cc Streetzone combustion-engine scooter that’s been motoring around cities for the last 10 years.
Peugeot E-Streetzone Electric Scooter will be available in with one or two batteries offering up to 112 km of range, as well as a cargo version. The e-Streetzone bike is perfect for short urban trips or inner-city riding. This versatile bike can accommodate a single battery or dual batteries under the seat, where a storage compartment big enough for a jet helmet can also be found.
With a single battery, places with moderate to low speeds you can enjoy a range of 61 km (38 miles) in Eco mode @ up to 25 km/h (15.5 mph), or 51 km (31.6 miles) @ up to 45 km/h (30 mph). Riders opting for two batteries have the added benefit of a 112 km (69.5 miles) range in Eco mode or 96 km (59.6 miles) at higher Boost speeds. The weight of a scooter with one battery is 90 kg (198.4 lb), and 102 kg (224.8 lb) with two.These battery packs recharge in 4.5 hours, but you can also fast-charge them for a reduced time. They’re small enough to be removed from their case during charging from just about anywhere at home or office, which is nice since it’s location-agnostic.
Elsewhere, the motor produces 105 Nm of torque where riders will also find hydraulic suspension front and back as well as 110/70-12 tires complete with disc brakes in the front and a drum brake at the rear. There’s also a two-seat padded seat, LCD dash for at-a-glance battery level, ride mode, speed, distance checks, and USB charging capacity for mobile gadgets while out of the office. Finally, there’s a bag hook built into the space below the handlebars.With a range of 50 to 110 km (30 to 50 miles), the e-scooter is being made available as a cargo version for package and food delivery businesses. It has a single seat only and a rear cargo rack capable of carrying up to 20 kg (44 lb), allowing it to withstand particularly strenuous conditions.Peugeot E-Streetzone Electric Scooter first featured at the Paris Motor Show in October and recently at the EICMA trade show in Milan. The Peugeot E-Streetzone is anticipated to be released in the first half of 2023. The electric scooter will likely come in black/blue, white, red, and black.
