Apple iOS 16 latest software update for iPhone will launch on Sept. 12, four days prior to iPhone 14 hitting stores. The software update will be available for download at 1 p.m. Eastern time, or 10 a.m. PT.

The most notable feature that won’t launch until later in the year is the iCloud shared photo library. The feature enables iPhone users to easily share photos among family members or friends.
How to update an iPhone with iOS 16?
- Go To Settings > General > Software Update. The iPhone will tell you if iOS 16 is available.
- If available plug your iPhone or ensure you have more than 50% battery or more.
- Tap “Install Now.” and wait for the update to complete.
