Universal Media Server is a DLNA-compliant UPnP Media Server you can connect using a browser to any device. It gives you a feature-rich dive into dynamic pages for all the media files you have. 

SubJunk, an official developer of PMS developed the Universal Media Server offers greater stability and file compatibility.  As mentioned earlier it enables streaming in various media formats without much fuss. Powered by MEncoder, FFmpeg, tsMuxeR, AviSynth, MediaInfo, and more, enables it to offer support for a wide range of media formats. Since Universal Media Server is written in Java it supports multiple operations systems such as Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.
