Excel for Android allows you to convert pictures into spreadsheets. Microsoft today in a blog post mentioned the new feature. Excel for Android is also able to convert a photo of a hand-drawn data table as well as a printed one and turn them into an Excel Spreadsheet.
Once the data is captured in Excel you can easily edit, analyze and share it as usual. You will find the new option called “Insert Data from Picture” and is also available in public preview on Android.
Microsoft has mentioned a number of improvements to enhance the performance of existing Excel functionality. As a result of this, the lookup type functions will take seconds instead of minutes. Now Microsoft will offer stock and geographic data types that will be available for all Excel users.
Other updates made include new one-time passcodes (OTP) from Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) which makes it easy to share and collaborate seamlessly. There are a number of other improvements made to Azure AD, Teams desktop app, and the SharePoint Migration Tool. With all these improvements users will get the opportunity to work seamlessly in a team, migrate web parts, pages, and site navigation.
