Third-party widgets for Windows 11 will be coming to Microsoft Store soon. Widgets have been around in Windows 11 but have not proved to be as Microsoft would have hoped.

The major problem being it lacks interesting and useful widgets, earlier too Microsoft had been trying to address this by hinting to offer support for creations from other companies and users can install and download updates via the software store.

Current developments suggest Windows 11 users may soon be able to install third-party widgets via the Microsoft Store.

FireCubeStudio, a reliable source known for uncovering hints related to Microsoft’s future plans for widgets in Windows 11 in a tweet said, “more evidence of being able to download third-party widgets and updates from the Microsoft Store”

A screenshot was shared along with it which suggests the new development. The news is based on speculation and it is not clear when this will actually show up in Windows 11. But it is welcome news, especially for Windows 11 users who have huge expectations with widgets. Stay tuned with us to hear more on this development in the future.
